From the garage into the hall.
The most practical entry to the chalet is
through the internal garage which is home to
ski and boot racks coat hangers and drying
facilities. It is heated in winter and
is a great place for all the team to hang up
the ski clothes and for the kids to dump the
gear, as they do! There is also a
washing machine in this area for the really
grubby ones! In the summer it is
equally useful for mountain bikes and
walking boots and paraphernalia.
Bathroom No.1 with shower WC and
washbasin.

From the hall, open plan lounge and dining
room with three deep and spacious sofas
which eat you up in front of the cosy log
fire. The satellite TV has more
channels than you can shake a stick at - if
you really must watch - and there is also a
DVD to play your favourite ski film and a
CD/multi sound system for the party music.
Above all, there is plenty of space for you
to relax.

The dining room has seating for
twelve around a large wooden table situated
in front of the garden patio windows with
super views down the valley and mountains.
Flowing through to the kitchen with
traditional wooden yet modern units and
plenty of workspace. The kitchen has:
-
Fridge (plus another in the garage)
-
Electric oven with grill
-
Induction
hob and microwave
-
Extractor hood
-
Dishwasher
-
Double Belfast sink, oh and
plenty of wine racks!
We have recently
re-fitted this open plan ground floor to
make it more family-friendly being a very
warm and social area with Italian tiled
floor, solid wood (Mélèzes) walls and
ceilings with great access to the outside
terrace in summer.
Indeed towards the end of
February and March, with the patio doors
open and the sun streaming in, it is a great
social place to spend time enjoying the
views and the sounds of the mountains.
Why not fire up the barbeque and eat
outside! There is a large fixed outdoor
seating area big enough for twelve or so
around a large table on the terrace. It's a
lovely setting to spend a leisurely meal, or
later as night falls, watching the stars
with a bottle of the local wine, family and
friends.
